International Arbitration, Current Perspectives
23-24 June 2017 - Bilbao, Spain
Only 1 month left to register!
The seminar will address the most pressing issues in international arbitration today. The seminar will consist of two parts.
The first of these will be devoted to the examination of certain fundamental issues related to the current prospects of international commercial arbitration, such as the challenges and opportunities of Spain as arbitration hub, maritime arbitration, precautionary measures and emergency arbitrator, as well as The recognition and execution of foreign arbitral awards.
The second part of the program will be devoted mainly to issues relating to investment arbitration and how Brexit may affect arbitration in the European Union and the United Kingdom. In particular, our speakers will discuss how to plan investments as a pre-arbitration procedure, and the advantages and disadvantages of a permanent cut-off system as an alternative to traditional investment arbitrage.
