A sentence of the Social Chamber of the Supreme Court requires the meat industries begin to pay the extra noise to their workers, after a lawsuit and appeal presented by the company committee of Tello Meat, as explained by the union USO it's a statement.

After a judicial process that has spanned several years, the High Court ratifies the right of workers to continue receiving the extra noise, provided for in Article 57 c) of the National Collective Agreement of Meat Industries, as ruled by the court of law. No. 2 of Toledo in September 2014.

The regulations determine that workers will receive the extra noise provided that acoustic conditions that reach less than 80 decibels have not been technically eliminated, and when the worker who provides their services subjected to these levels uses hearing protection.

"In January 2012, Industrias Cárnicas Tello decided unilaterally to stop paying its workers the extra noise without any technical or productive improvement in the machinery or facilities that would produce a decrease in noise exposure conditions", according to the Union. At first, the court of Toledo ruled the obligation that the company returned to pay this bonus to the workers, ruling that was appealed, being the Superior Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha which, in February 2016, acquitted to the company of this obligation.

However, now it has been the Supreme Court that has once again agreed with the works committee and the company will have to pay back that bonus to the staff of Cárnicas Tello.

"From this moment, we will begin a campaign of diffusion in all the meat companies of the state demanding its immediate execution.Remember that, thanks to the union action developed by the companions of Tello, more than 200,000 workers, may be benefited", says Raúl Montoya, secretary of Trade Union Action and Labor Health of FI-USO.
