José Pajares participates in the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law

Our Managing Partner of the Law Firm Pajares and Asociados Abogados, Mr. José Pajares, will attend the 62nd session of UNCITRAL as a Representative of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) in Working Group V, Insolvency Law, in the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (CNUDMI).

The meeting will take place at the United Nations headquarters in New York from April 17th to April 20th, and will address legal issues arising from the cross-border insolvency and the law applicable to insolvency proceedings, among other issues.

UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Law) is a United Nations organization established in 1966 to harmonize and unify international commercial law rules worldwide. The commission is dedicated to developing and promoting international legal instruments, such as conventions, model laws, guidelines, and recommendations, to address issues of international commercial law, such as the sale of goods, international commercial arbitration, public procurement, intellectual property rights security, and other related matters. UN member states can adhere to UNCITRAL legal instruments, which facilitates the harmonization and uniformity of commercial law worldwide.
