CREMADES & CALVO-SOTELO ABOGADOS, represented by its Managing Partner in Zaragoza, Mr. José Pajares, is participating in the 70th Congress of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA).
The 70th UIA Congress is taking place in Marrakech, Morocco, from October 28 to November 1, 2026.
The Congress features, among other offerings, language-based forums that facilitate the discussion of significant legal topics among participants who share a common language. This allows attendees to exchange diverse perspectives on a given subject and examine the various legal approaches taken in different countries.

This prestigious event brings together leading global experts, including Mr. José Pajares—Director of the Restructuring and Insolvency Law Department at Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo Abogados—who currently serves as a UIA representative to Working Group V (Insolvency Law) of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
On Friday, October 30, José Pajares will speak during the Insolvency Law session, titled “Insolvency, Markets, and Liability: Legal Challenges of the 21st Century,” which will be chaired by the Mexican attorney Mr. Alberto Román Palencia.
