The bankruptcy system of Spain in the G8 Latin American Insolvency and Restructuring Program

The G8 Latin American Insolvency and Restructuring Program sought to offer academic content, exchange of experiences and best practices among the 8 main economies of Latin America and Europe in terms of GDP. UNCITRAL experts comment on Spain's submissions from the perspective of the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Insolvency Law (Day 1) and the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency. For the first day of the presentation, the leader of the G8, José Pajares, Partner-Director of PAJARES & ASOCIADOS ABOGADOS, invites everyone to address the bankruptcy system of Spain in charge of Jesús Ferruz Gil and Teresa Elia, analyzed from the perspective of the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide on Bankruptcy Law. On the second day, we will discuss the case of Abengoa and Delphi presented in accordance with Spanish legislation and European regulations by Ángel Mª Ballesteros Barros, with experience and expertise in the matter. The entire G8 Euromerican Latina Insolvency and Restructuring Program was offered FREE of charge to all participants. The participants in the event were certified by IBAJUD - Instituto Brasileiro da Insolvência and the Ibero-American Institute of Insolvency Law (IIDC), founded in 2005 and present in 12 countries, both in America and Europe.
